IWC Da Vinci Replica created the Geosphere to celebrate the 160th anniversary Minerva manufacturing in Villeret, a place which inspired its 1858 collection. The Geosphere, which was designed as a mountaineer watch and is part of the 1858 collection this year, draws inspiration from Minerva's professional tool watches from the 1920s to 1930s.
The Geosphere comes in a 42mm stainless steel or bronze case. It is powered by the new automatic MB 29,25 calibre, and has worldtime, date and second time zone complications. The worldtime display is a new style that was first introduced in the Villeret Tourbillon Cylindrique Geospheres Vasco da Gama of 2015. Two rotating domes representing the Northern and Southern Hemispheres of the globe show the hours from each of the 24 major time zones. Each time zone scale has contrasting day/night markings and completes one full rotation in 24 hours. They are located at 12 (Replica Watches) and 6 (Southern).
On both domes, the line of the prime meridian has been highlighted by a white Super-LumiNova strip. In a direct reference to mountaineering and the Seven Summits, the highest peaks of each continent, you can find seven dots on the illustrations.
The second time zone function is pretty standard. The second time-zone function is displayed on a subdial at 9 o'clock, and it's linked to the datewheel opposite at 3 o'clock.
The vintage-inspired design features include a central cathedral hour hand, a slim Arabic font, faux-tina luminescence, and a throwback IWC Da Vinci Replica Logo.Sinn Replica Watches The watch comes with a choice of three straps: a tan aged Sfumato Bund, a black NATO style strap, and a tan-aged calfskin aged Sfumato font.
The 1858 Geosphere, with its bi-directional rotating bezel and cardinal direction markers is an elegant watch. It was rigorously tested by IWC Da Vinci Replica using the torturous Laboratory Test 500, and is water-resistant up to 100 meters.
